Fred Adams, jr. has been a published author since 1971 when he began seling fiction to magazines and non-fiction pieces to newspapers. Since his retirement from Penn State University's English faculty, he has written ten novels, two nonfiction books, and three commissioned novellas.

Dead Man's Melody

Aging rock guitarist Sam Dunne has barely squeaked by for the last fifteen years since his band mates Eddie Shay and Danny Barton kicked him out of Gin Sing and they went on to live high as stars. Now Eddie's dead and Sam finds himself Detective Mike Kearny's prime suspect. Then another of Sam's old friends turns up dead and Sam has to enlist help from both sides of the law: the city's black drug lord Tiny Settles, crime reporter Wendy Conn, and a heavy metal guitarist cum master thief known simply as Razor to clear himself and nail Eddie's killer. Follow Sam as he leaves his past to save his future.
